Dr Frank Skorsetz talks about his experiences with Sdui. Carl-Zeiss-Gymnasium Jena is one of the first schools to use the school app with the Indiware timetabling software. The interface was developed together with the company Indiware and the deputy headmaster Mr Skorsetz.

In the past 2.5 days, we at Rittersberg Kaiserslautern have registered over 60 colleagues and more than 750 new pupils, along with their parents, on Sdui. This means that approximately 95% of the pupils, parents, and all teachers are now using Sdui. Without you and your Sdui team, we would not have been able to achieve this in such a short time. Thank you so much for your friendly manner and quick response time to our small issues, and many thanks to the team, who always reacted promptly and professionally—even during a time when you undoubtedly have plenty on your plate.

Good morning, Mrs. Kaiser,
Thank you for the great app that allows us to handle this school closure in the best possible way.
Of course, not everything runs smoothly, but most of the time it is due to pupils or parents who are not yet very familiar with digital tools. In some other cases, the network is overloaded, and one needs to be a bit patient. The vast majority of our school community is connected with us via Sdui and can view and use the news, chats, and cloud features. We understand that we won’t be able to reach everyone via Sdui, so we’ve also considered other channels: Nextcloud, mail, and email. It is now up to the class teachers and subject teachers to keep track of everything.
Despite digitalization, families at home are facing the enormous challenge of staying up to date and keeping an eye on the teaching materials. Everyone needs time to adjust to this. Additionally, some families print out every assignment instead of simply reading it as information or using it directly for completing tasks. This, of course, leads to a flood of paper running through home printers. Nevertheless, I believe that we are benefiting from your app. Thank you very much!

We are very satisfied with the app. It runs smoothly and allows us to provide our pupils with assignments and information. The support is excellent, and suggestions and improvement proposals are implemented promptly. The flow of information between the school, parents, and pupils is much better than it would have been without such a solution.
