City Solingen
Situation: When face-to-face teaching resumed during the Covid-19 pandemic, it was not possible to provide adequate public transport for the health of the large number of commuting students.
Goaal: A hybrid school concept that allows half of all classes to alternate between home and in-person teaching in order to minimise the risk of infection.
Realisation: Sdui was used as a standardised solution in all schools to support face-to-face and distance learning. We analysed which components were needed to implement the hybrid concept and created interfaces for existing systems.
Result: The schools received a flexible, GDPR-compliant platform as a basis for combining with other solutions. It is now possible to switch between face-to-face and distance learning on the fly. The Solingen model is now regarded as a successful example of hybrid teaching.
